FOUNDER

Kharma Wilson
Founder
Kharma is a rising senior at Spelman College studying Political Science and Economics, originally from the Bay Area, California. She started building YARD after moving to Atlanta for school and running into the off-campus housing process herself — fragmented, confusing, and run through GroupMe chats, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, spreadsheets, and word of mouth. YARD is pre-revenue today, with a mock prototype and more than 150 students on the waitlist. This is her first startup, and she joined the RightShift Accelerator to learn how to use AI and technology to move faster on product development, customer discovery, and marketplace growth.
Former healthcare executive with deep domain expertise in women’s health. Strong product-market validation through clinical partnerships and user research.

TRUST IS THE PRODUCT

Live events do not tolerate failure. A DJ landing in an unfamiliar city needs gear that arrives on time and works, and the industry’s answer to that has always been personal relationships — which do not travel. StageWing turns that informal trust network into infrastructure: a vetted community of local providers, called Wingmates, reachable in 14 states. Running its own full-service A/V production arm alongside the marketplace gives StageWing operating knowledge of what a provider has to deliver. The next step is product independence — engineering the platform so growth is not limited by manual coordination.
